TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Century Park Motor Lodge, Nelson

To ensure fairness to all customers and to maintain the highest standard expected as members of Hospitality NZ we have adopted the following policies:

Credit Card:

Within 7 days prior to check-in, full payment for your accommodation will be withdrawn from the credit card you supply us with at the time of booking.

Credit Card Surcharge:

Visa & MasterCard transactions will incur a 2% surcharge.
A surcharge of 4% will be added to all AMEX & Diners transactions

Cancellations for Individual Bookings - a booking for one room only

Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email or fax. Cancellations or amendments with less than 7 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests credit card. However we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation.
Century Park strongly recommend that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.

Cancellations for 'Weekend 2 or 3 night Special' - No Refund Given

Because of the incredibly low price we are offering for the 'WEEKEND 2 or 3 NIGHT SPECIAL' there is a 'NO REFUND CANCELLATION POLICY'
If you think you may need to cancel, you would be best to book one of the dearer rooms which has a 7 day cancellation policy.

Cancellations for Group or Multiple Bookings - a booking of multiple rooms under one name (or different names) by one individual/company

Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email or fax. Cancellations or amendments with less than 14 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests credit card. However we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation for each room booked.

Cancellations for Conferences:

Cancellations with less than 14 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will incur a 25% charge, with less than 7 days a 50% charge and with less than 72 hours a 100% charge of the total booking.

No-show's:

If you haven't cancelled your booking in writing within the required time and you don't turn up, the full room rate will be charged to your credit card.

Reception Hours:

Weekdays 7.30am to 8.30am
Weekends 8am to 8pm
*Any check-in after 8.30pm Weekdays or 8pm Weekends, please make contact with us so special arrangements can be made for your key.
Check-In: is available from 2pm on the day of arrival *
Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure
*Early check-in and late check-out is only by arrangement with motel management and may incur an additional charge.

Payment:

Seven days before check-in your credit card will be charged for the total amount of your accommodation. No surcharge is made on Visa & MasterCard transactions.
A surcharge of 2.5% will be added to all AMEX & Diners transactions.
Long Term Guests are required to pay at check-in.
Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time. Overdue accounts will attract a credit financing charge of 2.5% per month.

Parties and Noise:

Century Park strictly enforces a NO PARTIES and NOISE Policy for the comfort of all guests, and will not tolerate excessive noise at any time. Guests who do not comply with these policies and disrupt the peace and quiet enjoyment of other guests will be required to vacate the premises immediately and without refund. The credit card of the registered guest will be subject to charges for damages due to guest complaints regarding excessive noise during posted quiet hours. This may include paying the tariffs for guests who leave as a result of your excessive noise. All visitors to your room must leave quietly by 10pm.

Changes in Reservation Term:

Any changes in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a book is subject to availability of room.
Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation.

Guests:

Visitors are permitted at the management’s discretion.
We do NOT allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in our rooms.
Guests must leave the premises quietly before 10pm.
The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all of the visitors to their room for the duration of the registered guest's stay. All deliberate and/or reckless acts that result in damage to Century Park property and any costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss of income to the motel will be charged to the registered guest.
As parking space is limited, visitors vehicles are to be parked outside the complex.

Smoking is NOT allowed outside your room or in any room on the property:

Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds. Guests and visitors are prohibited to smoke inside OR outside their rooms, and are therefore required to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.

To protect people from the health effects of second-hand smoke, smoking in most public areas including shopping malls, public transport, pubs, bars and restaurants is prohibited in New Zealand. All workplaces are smoke free.

If you do smoke in your unit, you WILL be personally charged NZ$500 minimum, to cover specialist cleaning and resulting loss of income. Smoking anywhere on the property may result in a fine and/or immediate eviction.

Strong Smelling foods:

In order to avoid residual lingering food odours that may be offensive to subsequent guests - the cooking of strong smelling foods is not permitted in this motel. If strong residual odours remain, the registered guest may be charged a minimum of $100 for the cost of professional cleaning. If the room cannot be rented until the smell is removed, the registered guest will be charged for the resulting loss of income to Century Park.

Tariffs:

Seasonal/unit rates and minimum booking periods may apply.

Extra Charges may be levied for; late check out, the extra cleaning of a room after the cooking of spicy foods

Incoming 0800 calls:

This service is only for people calling to make an inquiry or booking.

Free NZ calls:

All calls to phone numbers within NZ are free of charge from your room.
