Century Park Motor Lodge FAQ's

 

Do you have Non-Smoking rooms?

Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds.  Guests and visitors are prohibited to smoke inside OR outside their rooms, and are therefore required to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.

To protect people from the health effects of second-hand smoke, smoking in most public areas including shopping malls, public transport, pubs, bars and restaurants is prohibited in New Zealand. All workplaces are smokefree.

If you do smoke in your unit, you WILL be personally charged NZ$500 minimum, to cover specialist cleaning and resulting loss of income.  Smoking anywhere on the property may result in a fine and/or immediate eviction.


Can I smoke in my room?

Can I have a party in my room?

Century Park strictly enforces a No Parties and Noise Policy for the comfort and security of all guests, and will not tolerate excessive noise at any time. 


Can I have guests in my room? 

Certainly.  However, to make it fair for all guests, all visitors must leave the property quietly by 10pm.

 

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?

All room reservations require a credit card guarantee.


Cancellation Policy

Individual Bookings -  a booking for one room only
Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email or fax.  Cancellations or amendments with less than 7 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests credit card. However we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation.
Century Park strongly recommend that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.
 
Group or Multiple Bookings -  a booking of multiple rooms under one name (or different names) by one individual or third party company.

No-show’s
If you haven't cancelled your booking in writing within the required time and you don't turn up, the full room rate will be charged to your credit card.
 
Conference Cancellations
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will incur a 25% charge, with less than 7 days a 50% charge and with less than 72 hours a 100% charge of the total booking
 


Does my room have cooking facilities?

Absolutely.  Each room has a designer kitchen equipped with all you'll need to cook up a storm - but please note: Avoid leaving residual lingering smell/odours that may be offensive to subsequent guests.  If strong residual odours remain, the registered guest may be charged costs for cleaning and/or resulting loss of income to Century Park.

Do you have a pet policy?

The only pets accepted are: Hearing & Seeing Guide dogs.

Who is eligible for corporate rates?

In general, almost anyone who will be working in the area on a regular basis and has a personal printed business card with a company name and address on it. To check on your authenticity we reserve the right to contact your employers if we feel it is necessary.

Does the rate quoted on the internet include breakfast?

No the internet rate does not include breakfast, but a Continental breakfasts can be ordered.

Is it possible to check-in earlier?

It is sometimes possible to check-in earlier, however, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. However, to be sure of having the room ready upon arrival, you can pay for the room from the night before.

Do you provide a service for late check-out?

Check out time is by 10am. We can store you luggage until you need it later on in the day for no extra charge.

Will my credit card be charged immediately?

Your credit card is used simply to guarantee your reservation, if you cancel and don’t give us the required notification, your credit card may then be charged.

Which credit cards can I use to make a registration or booking?

Visa, MasterCard, Diners and American Express.  As of 1 September 2010, any transactions involving American Express and/or Diners Club credit cards shall incur a fee of 2.5% which will be added to the total amount payable.
