Century Park Motor Lodge FAQ's

 

 

Do you have any interconnecting rooms?

Century Park Motor Lodge does have 1 lot of connecting rooms (Presidential Suite and Room 105 - Executive Suite). Requests for such room configuration can be made at the time of booking, but will not be guaranteed. Upon arrival the request will be reviewed and honoured strictly subject to room availability.

 

 

Is there a swimming pool in the motel?

No, there is not one on the property, but there is a public swimming 1.5km away - Riverside Pool is situated at Riverside Terrace, Nelson. Phone them at 546 3221 for further information.

 

 

How much parking space is available at the Motel?

Each suite is allocated one parking space. If you have 2 cars, one of them will need to be parked on the roadside. Your visitors will need to park their cars on the roadside.

 

 

How do I get to Century Park Motor Lodge.com?

Do you have special facilities and services available for disabled guests?

Yes. Our Executive Studio rooms  102 and 103 are especially designed for wheelchairs and feature wet area showers.

 

 

Can the Motel reconfirm my ongoing flight and make arrangements for domestic and international flights?

We have provided a computer at reception for your use to check emails and flight bookings. If you need to print any of these documents off, please ask at reception. This service is provided for you at no cost.

 

 

Is a Doctor available?

We are one kilometre away from an after hours and duty doctor. This is situated at 96 Waimea Road and the phone number is 546 8881. If we can help you get to the duty doctor, please let reception know.

 

 

How far is it to the nearest hospital?

1.3 km to Nelson Public Hospital.

1.1 km to Manuka Street Trust (Private) Hospital.

 

 

Where is the nearest bank or currency exchange?

ANZ Bank Corner of Hardy & Trafalgar Street 700 metres.

ASB Bank Corner of Hardy & Trafalgar Street 700 metres.

 

 

What time do the banks open?

9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday only.

 

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?

All room reservations require a credit card guarantee.


Cancellation Policy

Individual Bookings -  a booking for one room only
Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be done in writing by email or fax.  Cancellations or amendments with less than 7 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests credit card. However we will endeavour to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs, minus a one-off administration fee equal to the value of your first night’s accommodation.
Century Park strongly recommend that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.
 
Group or Multiple Bookings -  a booking of multiple rooms under one name (or different names) by one individual or third party company.

No-show’s
If you haven't cancelled your booking in writing within the required time and you don't turn up, the full room rate will be charged to your credit card.
 
Conference Cancellations
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice from 2pm on the check-in day will incur a 25% charge, with less than 7 days a 50% charge and with less than 72 hours a 100% charge of the total booking

What voltage do you use in New Zealand?

The power in New Zealand is 240 volts AC50 cycles.

The bathrooms are equipped with a shaver socket for 110 or 230 volts.

Should you require an adaptor, please contact reception.

 

Do you have Non-Smoking rooms?

 

Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds.  Guests will need to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.  See our terms and conditions for more details

To protect people from the health effects of second-hand smoke, smoking in most public areas including shopping malls, public transport, pubs, bars and restaurants is prohibited in New Zealand. All workplaces are smokefree.

 

Can I smoke in my room?

 

No.


Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds.  Guests and visitors are prohibited to smoke inside OR outside their rooms, and are therefore required to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.

If you do smoke in your unit, you WILL be personally charged NZ$500 minimum, to cover specialist cleaning and resulting loss of income.  Smoking anywhere on the property may result in a fine and/or immediate eviction.

 

Can I have guests in my room? 

Certainly.  However, to make it fair for all guests, all visitors must leave the property quietly by 10pm.


Does my room have cooking facilities?

Absolutely.  Each room has a designer kitchen equipped with all you'll need to cook up a storm - but please note: Avoid leaving residual lingering smell/odours that may be offensive to subsequent guests.  If strong residual odours remain, the registered guest may be charged costs for cleaning and/or resulting loss of income to Century Park.

 

 

What is the GST refund system in New Zealand? 

Good and services tax (GST) is an indirect tax that businesses charge as part of the goods and services they provide. Visitors to New Zealand must pay GST on all goods and services that they buy in New Zealand. There is NO refund of GST available when you leave New Zealand.

 

Are there any golf courses near the motel?

Waahi Taakaro Golf Club Maitai, Maitai Valley - 4 km.

Nelson Golf Club, 38 Bolt Road - 6 km.

 

 

How far away is the Information Centre?

Nelson I-Site, Corner Trafalgar & Halifax Street, Nelson - 1.1 km.
