Century Park Motor Lodge FAQ's

 

Do you have any interconnecting rooms?

The Century Park Motor Lodge does have one lot of connecting rooms. Requests for such room configuration can be made at the time of booking, but will not be guaranteed. Upon arrival the request will be reviewed and honoured strictly subject to room availability.

Will I have to share a bathroom or Kitchen with other guests?

All of our rooms are self contained and private, so you will never have to share a Bathroom or Kitchen.


How do we order our continental breakfast?

Fill in the breakfast menu (one per person) which is provided for you in your room, have this in to us at reception by 8pm the night before. A breakfast tray will be delivered to your room by 9pm the night before.


Breakfast for children?

See us at reception so we can cater for your child’s needs.


Does the rate quoted on the internet include breakfast?

No the internet rate does not include breakfast, but a Continental breakfasts can be ordered.


Do you provide a service for late check-out?

Check out time is by 10am. We can store you luggage until you need it later on in the day for no extra charge.


What are your Reception hours?

We have a 24 hour front desk


Do you have rooms with a bathtub?

8 of our rooms have large corner spa baths
3 of our rooms have a standard spa baths


Will I have to pay extra for Housekeeping?

Your room will be serviced daily at no extra charge.


Is there a Minimum stay requirement?

Most times of the year the minimum stay requirement is 1 night only, but occasionally Special deals or particular times of the year may require UP TO 3 days minimum stay, no more.


What television channels are available in the rooms?

We have 13 channels in the rooms, which are provided at no extra cost to you. These are as follows although they are subject to change.
Sky channels; Movies 1, UK TV, Sport 1, Sport 2, BBC World, BBC knowledge. 
Television Channels:  TV1, TV2, TV3, C4, Prime TV, TV1+1, Maori TV.


Do you have Non-Smoking rooms?

Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds and property.  Guests will need to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.

To protect people from the health effects of second-hand smoke, smoking in most public areas including shopping malls, public transport, pubs, bars and restaurants is prohibited in New Zealand. All workplaces are smokefree.

Can I smoke in my room?

No.
Century Park is proud to be Nelson's first accommodation to have TOTALLY SMOKE FREE grounds.  Guests and visitors are prohibited to smoke inside OR outside their rooms, and are therefore required to leave the Motel grounds to have a smoke.

To protect people from the health effects of second-hand smoke, smoking in most public areas including shopping malls, public transport, pubs, bars and restaurants is prohibited in New Zealand. All workplaces are smokefree.

If you do smoke in your unit, you WILL be personally charged NZ$500 minimum, to cover specialist cleaning and resulting loss of income.  Smoking anywhere on the property may result in a fine and/or immediate eviction.

Can I have guests in my room? 

Certainly.  However, to make it fair for all guests, all visitors must leave the property quietly by 10pm.


Does my room have cooking facilities?

Absolutely.  Each room has a designer kitchen equipped with all you'll need to cook up a storm - but please note: Avoid leaving residual lingering smell/odours that may be offensive to subsequent guests.  If strong residual odours remain, the registered guest may be charged costs for cleaning and/or resulting loss of income to Century Park.

Is there a safety deposit box available?

There is a digital safe in every guest room.

Is there an email service at our Motel?

We have provided a computer at reception for your complimentary use to check emails and flight bookings. If you need to print any of these documents, please ask at reception. This service is provided for you at no cost. If you have a laptop please see details below.


What are the Internet charges in our room?

FREE high-speed Broadband Internet with WIFI

Is a babysitting service available?

Yes, we have babysitting service available subject to availability. Please inform us at least 1 day in advance.


What facilities are available for children?

We are developing a children’s library and DVD selection, ask at reception for further information.


Are baby cots available for the rooms?

Yes, for babies up to 24 months - we need advance notice to ensure availability. These are provided free of charge.


Are high chairs available for the rooms?

Yes, - we need advance notice to ensure availability. These are provided free of charge


How do we order our continental breakfast?

Is there a swimming pool in the motel?

No there is not one on the property, but there is a public swimming 1.5km away - Riverside Pool is situated at Riverside Terrace, Nelson. Phone them at 546 3221 for further information.


How much parking space is available at the Motel?

Each suite is allocated one parking space. If you have 2 cars, one of them will need to be parked on the roadside. Your visitors will need to park their cars on the roadside.


Do you have hair dryers in the rooms?

Hairdryers are available in every guest room.


Do you have special facilities and services available for disabled guests?

Yes. Our Executive Studio rooms - 102, 103 are especially designed for wheelchairs and feature wet area showers.


Can the Motel reconfirm my ongoing flight and make arrangements for domestic and international flights?

We have provided a computer at reception for your use to check emails and flight bookings. If you need to print any of these documents off, please ask at reception. This service is provided for you at no cost.


What voltage do you use in New Zealand?

The power in New Zealand is 240 volts AC50 cycles.
The bathrooms are equipped with a shaver socket for 110 or 230 volts.
Should you require an adaptor, please contact reception.


What is Century Park Motor Lodge’s policy about lost and found items?

Should a guest lose any items whilst at our complex and the item is recovered, it will be stored on our premises for a period of 6 weeks. We will endeavour to contact you by calling the phone details that you left us at the time of registration. If you would like us to send your lost property back to you - send us a pre-paid courier or post bag to us and we will get it back to you as soon as possible.
