Centre of New Zealand
Make the easy climb to the centre of New Zealand - get a bird's eye view of Nelson City, the Port, and Nelson's famously unique Boulderbank. Abel Tasman Walkway
No trip to the Nelson region (or New Zealand for that matter) would be complete without experiencing the Abel Tasman National Park. New Zealand's smallest and most visited National Park is world famous for it's golden sands, sub-tropical forests and deep blue-green sea. Several options are available to cater for different requirements and time restraints.

Heaphy Track
The longest of the DOC Great Walks. For 78.4 kilometres the track crosses the Park’s range of landscapes, starting from the junction of the Brown and Aorere Rivers, over expansive tussock downs to the lush forests, nikau palms and roaring seas of the West Coast.

Boulder Bank
The Boulder Bank is a very unusual naturally formed land form in Nelson. It is a 13km long stretch of rocky substrate which beings at the Mackay Bluff and ends at the Cut of the Nelson Harbour. See the Lighthouse, built in 1862 - the second oldest permanent lighthouse in New Zealand.

St Arnaud Bellbird walk
This is one of the most popular walks in Nelson Lakes National Park and developed to showcase the Rotoiti Nature Recovery Project area. The Rotoiti Nature Recovery Project is one of the Department of Conservation’s major projects, which aims to create a sanctuary with fewer pests.
